The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word dedicate their lives to the following of Christ through the public vows of consecrated celibacy, evangelical poverty, and religious obedience. The sisters respond to the call of the Spirit in the Church and consecrate themselves to God.

Sisters live in local communities in which they participate in the life and ministry of Jesus and, thereby, carry out their mission as members of the broader community of Church and world. Currently the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word serve in four main areas: Health Care, Education, Social Services, Development of Arts and Spirituality
